Police Officers’ Committee, a project of the Committee for Police Officers’ Defense, was established to support and defend the brave men and women of law enforcement facing an increasingly hostile political and legal environment.
Across the country, police officers are not only tasked with protecting life and property—they are also forced to navigate a growing wave of politically motivated scrutiny from activist prosecutors, judges, and elected officials. In many cases, doing their job puts their careers, reputations, and even their freedom at risk.
This environment has created a chilling effect on law enforcement. Officers must weigh not only the immediate threat in front of them, but also the potential for career-ending investigations, public vilification, or even criminal prosecution after the fact. In many cases, simply doing their job—upholding the law and protecting their communities—puts their careers, reputations, financial stability, and even their personal freedom at risk. The consequences extend beyond the individual officer, impacting their families, their departments, and ultimately the safety of the communities they serve.
The Police Officers’ Committee exists to stand in that gap. We take an active role in identifying and opposing public officials whose policies and actions undermine law enforcement and public safety, and supporting our local, state, and federal Leaders that advocate for our Officers. Through advocacy, education, and strategic political engagement, we work to ensure that those who attack law enforcement are held accountable to the voters they serve.

Committee for Police Officers’ Defense is a Nonprofit Political Committee organized under Section 527 with the IRS.
